The Discovery line of laboratory systems furniture consists of a steel back bone structure. This structure is designed to carry casework, work surfaces, fixtures, accessories and equipment in one modular system. The base structure is constructed of carbon steel or stainless steel in various gauges. The uprights come in three height sizes with the option for modifications as needed. The uprights can also carry the utilities out of the ceiling or floor down to the horizontal running enclosures. The uprights are pierced at specific heights for mounting the work surfaces on cantilevers at sitting or standing heights. The shelves when requested are adjusted in 2” increments by simply removing the bolts that hold the shelf in place and adjusting as needed. The uprights are tied together using horizontal running enclosures that carry your data, plumbing, & electric. The enclosures are also pierced to retain electrical and data outlets either out the top or vertically along the sides. The enclosures are mounted to hide or show the outlets based on your desired application. As with the uprights these are vary flexible to best serve your needs numbers and locations of piercing fixture outlets is to be determined by you. We can separate services if required by installing internal channels. We also have add on enclosures that run vertically as well to carry all your utility requirements. The structure also utilizes pedestals in various lengths depending if the upright is at the end of a run or part of the interior. The pedestals also have the option to incorporate adjustable stainless steel feet or a combination of feet and casters or just casters for mobility. All structures have been tested for load requirements to meet or exceed current applicable standards.
