The LFH fume hood utilizes an added airfoil on the sash front that is either painted steel or stainless steel. This style of hood is designed to operate on a small amount of airflow passing through the unit because it is so efficient. Instead of 100FPM or more the hood can operate around 55FPM and do the job safely. This unit is a constant bypass type fume hood. This hood is designed to operate on less air safely and efficiently.
This hood is similar to the Control Air style hood with its double walled construction for plumbing and electrical installations. The fascia is also somewhat similar with the angled posts, front panel, and airfoil. The front panel, post fronts, and airfoil are designed to allow more airflow to the hood face. The hood is constructed from furniture steel and painted with a corrosive resistant finish. A single sash encapsulates a 1/4” thick piece, or pieces of laminated safety glass and operates smoothly because of the single counter balance weight.
The interior is constructed of white poly resin that is chemical resistant and easy to maintain. The interior has top and bottom adjustable and removable baffles. There are no visibly exposed screws or bolts within the hood or the exterior. All interior hardware is stainless steel or galvanized.
Services-
The LFH style hood comes standard with a T-8 two tube fluorescent light and round ducts along with alarm. Optional services include an incandescent vapor proof light, light switch, blower switch, air, gas, vacuum, water, electrical receptacles, and square duct when specified. Fixture configurations are optional based on customer needs. The post fronts are pierced based on the customers request otherwise there will be no cutouts. The hood liner is also pierced in pre-identified locations based on request otherwise the liner will not have holes.
